Ukraine has two options for resolving the war in Donbass. This is an open confrontation with Russia and the diplomatic path.

“We still have two main ways: open confrontation with Russia, or keeping the situation on the political and diplomatic path of settlement, even if its efficiency is 0.001%. I do not see a third option,” Arestovich stressed.
According to him, the Minsk agreements and the “Normandy format” are acceptable in the formation of policy on this issue.
The speaker recalled that Russia does not recognize itself as parties to the conflict and at the same time it is a permanent member of the UN Security Council with a veto right.
“Questions about peacekeepers, a frozen conflict require a class of game, political intrigue, which should be formed for several years, so that one day later it would be possible to move the Minsk agreements and introduce something new. I do not think that Ukraine can now provide such a class of game,” – explained Arestovich.
As reported OBOZREVATEL, earlier the head of the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG Leonid Kravchuk said that Minsk format of negotiations is “untenable”, however, this state of affairs will have to be tolerated for some time.
