On April 9, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the airfield in Melitopol, where the forces of the Russian invaders had accumulated. About it said Advisor to the Head of the President’s Office Alexey Arestovich in an interview with Mark Feigin.

“They covered the Melitopol airfield, also with a control point. It was torn for about two hours. Any-expensive,” said Arestovich. “Melitopol becomes Chernobaevka.”
The adviser to the head of the Presidential Office added that Melitopol is a central hub, there is an airport, railway, and road links. This is a strong point providing communication between Zaporozhye, Kherson and Mariupol.
“And in the Zaporozhye region, something is happening all the time… One village was liberated, the second was liberated… Tactical actions. And these actions do not allow (the enemy) to fully successfully move in the south,” Arestovich said.
