Farmers in the Tambo Valley, in Arequipa, benefited from the delivery of 60 tons of guano from the island carried out by the Regional Management of Agriculture in coordination with Agro Rural of the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri), which promotes new fertilization alternatives for agricultural production.
The distribution of island guano to the farmers aims to raise awareness and strengthen the capacities of the use of this organic fertilizer, that contributes to improving agricultural production and carrying out eco-sustainable agriculture.
Rural Agriculture delivered the guano from the island to small farmers in the tambo valleylocated in the Arequipa province of Islay, which work areas of less than 10 hectares, and which also benefit from the garlic project carried out by the Regional Management of Agriculture.
