Arechi and Volpe, restyling in slow motion: there is a 15-day extension

The “no” this summer finally gave way to the insistent requests of economic operators but also to some errors that emerged in the analysis of the tender specifications. And so, the tender from 103 million euros for the framework agreement with which to implement the Restyling of the Arechi stadium and the transformation of the Fox Field draws another card from the pile of unforeseen events, slowing down even more the timing of a highly anticipated work in the city: theCurrentthe regional sports agency led by Flavio DeMartinohas made official the postponement of the deadline for the submission of offers to the next October 15th compared to the original date of September 30. There will be two more weeks, therefore, for companies interested in dealing with the modernization of the main sports facilities in the city.

The officialization of the postponement of deadlines and the extension for the submission of offers arrived on Thursday with a determination signed by the director general De Martino in which the decision is justified for two reasons. The first is precisely the pressure from the companies that, on several occasions, had asked for an extension of the times: «To date, several requests for extension have been received in consideration of the summer period and the complexity and relevance of the contract accompanied by copious tender documentation.», they underline from Arus that, previously, had said “no” to the various requests for extension that had arrived on the online portal of the competition. But there is more: the postponement of the deadlines was also decided because the economic operators, during their analysis of tender documentationthey found some discrepancies in the tender specifications which Arus has now promptly corrected.
