Are you without ‘chamba’? Apply to the Unemployment Insurance in CDMX that has already opened its call – El Financiero

Did you run out of “chamba”? Don’t worry, the Secretariat of Labor and Employment Promotion of Mexico City has already published its second call to enter the program Unemployment insurance which grants a monthly amount of 2 thousand 925 pesos for three months.

The call is addressed to all those people who have between 18 years and up to 64 years with 9 months completed who have involuntarily lost their formal employment, as well as priority attention groups (such as migrants or people in refugee status or beneficiaries of complementary protection).

It is worth mentioning that those who are beneficiaries of the program must attend job training courses given by the Ministry of Labor, in addition to being part of the job matching program to get back into a job.

The registration application to enter the program must be done through the Unemployment Insurance Program page through the website www.tramites.cdmx.gob.mx/desempleo/ starting this Thursday, May 12, 2022. The closing of the registration on the platform will be next Tuesday, the 31st of this month at 6:00 p.m.

Which are the requirements?

If you wish to enroll in the program, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Generate your CDMX key account on the page www.llave.cdmx.gob.mx and later, you must make your request in the Unemployment Insurance Platform where you must attach your documentation in PDF or JPG format.
  • Live in Mexico City.
  • Be between 18 years old and up to 64 years old 9 months old on the date of making the request.
  • have had a formal employment prior to loss of employmentfor a natural or legal person with fiscal and physical domicile within CDMX, for a minimum period of six months accumulated between 2020 and 2022.
  • Having lost your job for reasons beyond your control as of July 1, 2020.
  • Write a letter under oath to tell the truth, where you assure that you are not a beneficiary or beneficiary of any other similar program of the Government of Mexico City.
