The government of Mexico City will extend attention to over 18 years old and young people from 12 to 17 years old who still do not have any of the doses of the COVID vaccine.
These people will be able to attend the days Thursday 24, Friday 25 and Saturday 26 March to the vaccination centers located in the Weapons Room and Cencis Marina.
What vaccines against COVID will apply?
In the Weapons Room they will apply first and second dosesas well as reinforcement from Sputnik V to people 18 years of age or older.
Meanwhile in Cencis Marina will only apply first and second doses to young people from 15 to 17 years old, including those who turn 15 during the year 2022, as well as adolescents from 12 and 13 years with comorbidities.
The vaccination schedule will be completed according to the first dose received, either Pfizer, Sinovac, AstraZeneca y Sputnik.
COVID-19 in CDMX
The capital has managed to reduce the average positive cases per day to 120, according to the Director General of Technology and Intelligence, Eduardo Clark.
“A very considerable reduction compared to the 7,800 that was our maximum,” he explained.
He added that the city has for the first time “a weekly average positivity less than 10 percent so far in 2022, with a possibility in the last seven days of 8.6 percent and specifically in the last two days, we are seeing days with positivity close to six or seven percent.”
Until yesterday, 355 people hospitalized in the capital were reported, a figure that is very close to the historical minimum registered in December of last year when cases in hospitals dropped to 299.
Hospital admissions have already reached minimum levels in the last seven days and may continue to decline.
