So far, the viewer has to show a ticket with the name at the entrance and then pull out a certificate of infectivity on paper or on a mobile phone. It will be easier now.
–
The new mechanism will start operating from Monday and, according to information from Práva, the Dejvické Theater or the SK Slavia Praha football club will try it in the pilot phase.
–
“They will no longer want a Dot, code-reading papers, or anything like that in the queue. The organizer will have information that this ticket owner has proved in advance that he is infectious and does not have to show anything, “said Lukáš Trnka, spokesman for the National Agency for Communication and Information Technologies (NAKIT).
–
The Ministry of Health, in cooperation with NAKIT, has so far agreed on a test operation with Ticketportal, through which a number of theaters, festivals, musicians and sports clubs offer tickets for sale.
–
At the moment, anyone who would like to go for culture or mass events must prove their entry with a valid negative covid test, proof of illness or vaccinations. No one is allowed at the event without it.

Theater: It will make it easier for us
“It’s a simplification of what we have to do anyway. Given the size of our theater, it is not the case that we could not function without it, but we expect it to significantly simplify control, “said Milan Chrdle, Head of Marketing and Production at the Dejvice Theater, stating that their capacity is 130 spectators.
–
He will try a new way of checking on Monday for the first time. However, it is not expected that everyone will use faster control immediately.
–
“We will have to control some people, but there will not be so many of them, which will definitely make our work easier,” Chrdle added. Thanks to this, according to him, a little less staff will be needed.
–
“If there is one scan instead of two, it is always a relief, especially when it comes to mass events for thousands of people or festivals,” said Jakub Nový, chairman of the Czech Music Community, which covers several cultural organizations.
–
“If it will be functional and for everyone, I think that the organizers will be interested in it,” believes Nový.
–
It is expected that the connection of the application will be available to other interested parties, such as employers and other sectors.
–
As of yesterday, 2.99 million users downloaded the Dot application. A related reader, which serves the organizers to verify the validity of certificates, then 759 thousand applicants.
–
Advantage for the vaccinated
The greatest benefit is the novelty for the vaccinated. For the time being, they do not have to worry that the certificate will expire just before the event, ie in terms of a relatively close event.
–
Likewise, people who have undergone covid and have not yet expired 180 days of protection.
–
They can prove infectivity right when buying a ticket, which also gives the information to the organizer, and apart from wearing a respirator and keeping their distance, they don’t have to worry about anything else at the event.
–
It’s worse with those who need a test. The antigen can still be applied for three days, PCR for up to seven days. But even here it is possible to check in in advance.
–
The method is practically the same as for the vaccinated, only it is necessary to link the certificate with the ticket only when the negative test result is lit in the application.
–
“Dot will send what he has there at the moment. You will have to make the connection at a time when you are already infection-free for the event, “added Trnka.
–
How to do it? Use the code at the end of the ticket
There is a QR code with instructions on the purchased ticket at the bottom. However, the point is to open the Dot application on your mobile phone, the option “QR code of the sharing code” will be displayed in the upper right part via the gear wheel and the mentioned code will be read by the mobile phone.
–
A notification will then pop up on your mobile phone asking you to agree that personal data may be provided to a third party, ie the event organizer. “Consent can be withdrawn at any time,” Trnka remarked.
–
An alternative should be the possibility to agree on the connection of the Dot already when buying a ticket. This should be followed by a redirect to the application, where the data sharing needs to be reconfirmed.
–
Thanks to this, the organizers should have at least a partial overview of how many participants are vaccinated and how many have a test. This is especially crucial for large events with more than 3,000 participants.
–
The ministry requires that when this limit is exceeded, half of the people are vaccinated or after covid, the rest is enough for a test.
–
According to cultural representatives, this requirement is meaningless and, above all, unfulfillable. They cannot know in advance how many people will come with the test and how many will be vaccinated.
–
“Tickets have been sold since June, for example, and we will now say to him: Are you already over the permitted capacity? Probably not, “remarked Jakub Nový, chairman of the Czech Music Community.
–
Proof of infectivity in advance is not mandatory
Proof of infectivity in advance may be easier, but not mandatory. Some do not want to share personal information in advance and have to provide it on the spot.
–
The organizers will most often check the mentioned code. For paper certificates that do not have a code, they must choose a different procedure and check the issue date.
–
Without QR codes, there are often confirmations for antigenic tests that are issued on site. This is also the case of the Prague General University Hospital.
–
“The reason is that QR codes are assigned only by the system on ocko.uzis.cz. When we issue a certificate to people on the spot, it is a confirmation from VFN that they are negative. If they want to have a QR code, they have to go to the ocko.uzis portal, “explained hospital spokeswoman Marie Heřmánková.
–
All laboratories must enter the test result into this system. People can download the certificate at any time after logging in and possibly even print it out.
