Furthermore, Dr. Diana said, currently, the trend of ordering food has become a new habit for people during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Most people will order a delicious menu, especially with the many promos offered. So, even this unhealthy habit has not been carried out for a year.

“Try, how many of us order food online, but order vegetables like gado-gado or salad? It must be delicious. Moreover, there are promos. Imagine a day, two days, then a year,” said Diana.

“What is consumed is not proportional to what is issued, it is not in accordance with the principle of balanced nutrition. No wonder, many of my patients who come with complaints of increased weight gain during the pandemic,” he continued.

So … what’s the solution?

Dr. Diana recommends reducing foods high in salt, sugar, saturated fat, and trans fat, such as, coconut milk, fried foods, junk food.

“Foods like these trigger inflammation in the body, making us susceptible to infection. Remember, the COVID-19 virus is still there,” he added.

Other than that, body immunity also must be maintained. In addition to maintaining their diet, people are advised to stay active.

“So if divided by 5 days, just 30 minutes / day. Get enough sleep, don’t watch too much late at night. Getting enough sleep will help maintain immunity. Buy less food online, make cooking at home. Invite children to cook together, so they are more enthusiastic, “concluded Dr. Diana.
