Are we going back to the cell school with the education reform? – 2024-10-07 21:53:40

/ world today news/ “What is the policy regarding secondary education in the academic year 2016-2017?”.

This question was addressed by the Chairman of the National Assembly of the BSP, Mihail Mikov, to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Meglena Kuneva. He asked what the government’s policy was to save students, teachers and parents the chaos that was being created in the implementation of the adopted School and Pre-School Education Act. “You get the impression that you lead a policy of stubbornness – you both say that there are irregularities, that the textbooks cannot be done, and – that the standards cannot be done in order to implement the law, and you want to implement it and experiment what will happen happened to the Bulgarian children”, the leader of the left turned to the deputy prime minister.

Mikov explained that 1st and 5th grade have no textbooks. He emphasized that there is talk of how students will learn from worksheets prepared by teachers. “No standards have been developed, teachers are not familiar with the standards, which may appear in a month or two,” said the social leader. He stated that millions of European funds were spent to develop this law.

The government should stop with the grudge and admit its mistake

“Bulgarian education is placed in a very difficult situation,” said Mikov. According to him, the socially and educationally degrading effect of the adopted law and the implemented policy in secondary education is beginning to appear, and the other results are yet to be seen. “Is this the reform that returns us to the cell school, when the children studied without primers”, asked Mikov, Kuneva.

The Left leader called on the government to stop its grudge. He emphasized that millions were spent on the development of this law, which was also the reason why it was passed in the National Assembly. “Now the recognition that these millions were spent to mess up, not fix, Bulgarian education – clearly weighs. However, such a recognition is better than such a ruin”, Mikhail Mikov was categorical.
