Scientists from the United States Space Agency (NASA) found a unique sight on the surface of Planet Mars, in the shape of a smiling and adorable bear’s face. The photo was captured using the HiRISE camera on the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) in space.
Although the image actually shows a formation made of various rocks, the visuals are as clear as two eyes like bead buttons and a mouth facing upwards. The photo was taken while MRO was traveling about 251 kilometers above the Red Planet.
As reported by CNN on Monday (30/1), a camera on the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, called the High Resolution Imaging Experiment, or HiRISE, managed to capture images of the unusual geological feature in December.
The University of Arizona, which developed the camera with Ball Aerospace, shared the image on January 25. But this is not the first time, in March last year, the Curiosity rover also saw rock formations that resemble pictures of beautiful flowers on the surface of Mars.
