With the arrival of a new generation of consoles, new questions arise. For example: Are any Xbox Series X games coming to Games with Gold anytime soon? Much has been rumored about the continuation of the paid Xbox Live Gold membership after Microsoft removed the option to pay 12 from the service in July 2020. However, it was already clear that this service would continue to be paid. Now then users will want to know when games optimized for the new generation will arrive.
Apparently it will take a while before they are added to the service games made specifically for Xbox Series X and Series S. Although Xbox One games with Xbox Series X versions will likely be added first, it will probably be a while before Microsoft adds true Xbox Series X titles to Games with Gold. Meanwhile, more games are coming to Game Pass in January.

Are any Xbox Series X games coming to Games with Gold anytime soon?
The rumors that Xbox Live would be free were quickly rejected by Microsoft, saying it has no plans to discontinue Xbox Live Gold in the foreseeable future. The company also said that the service is an important part of Xbox gaming, reiterating that Xbox Live Gold isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Now, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership includes both Xbox Live and xCloud and Game Pass PC.
At the moment, the games fully optimized for the new generation are still few, given that the consoles launched last November. When looking at the history of Xbox Live Gold, it is worth remembering that the First Xbox One game to launch at Games with Gold is Halo: Spartan Assault. The game was released in July 2013 and was only added to Xbox Live Gold almost a year later, in June 2014. Although this time period is not a standard for all Xbox Live Gold games, most of them would have to spend at least one year before being offered free of charge to the service.
If Microsoft follows the same pattern for Xbox Series X, players should wait for Xbox Series X-optimized games to arrive at Games with Gold.
