Chennai: Sivakarthikeyan and Anirudh made their debut in Tamil cinema at the same time. Both of them made their debut with the movie 3. Even before this, the Tamil film world knows that the two are close friends. Anirudh has composed music for seven of Sivakarthikeyan’s biggest hits in his career.
The last time this combo came together was in Sivakarthikeyan’s Don. All the songs of the film released last year were hits. Music was a major factor behind the success of the film which earned 100 crores at the box office. Later Sivakarthikeyan acted in the film Prince but Thaman composed the music for it. The film was not a big success at the box office. Sivakarthikeyan is currently acting in the film Maveeran.
Bharat Shankar is the music director of Maviran. The music for Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming film Ayalan is composed by AR Rahman. Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan’s next film, directed by Rajkumar Periyaswamy, is composed by GV Prakash Kumar. With this, the news has spread in the Tamil film world that Sivakarthikeyan has some differences of opinion with Anirudh and that is why he does not get along with Anirudh.
At the same time, Anirudh refused to compose music for Sivakarthikeyan’s film directed by AR Murugadoss. Kollywood gossip columns reported that Anirudh backed out of the big budget film due to problems with Sivakarthikeyan.
But sources close to Anirudh and Sivakarthikeyan are denying this news. Anirudh is totally BC that’s why he is not doing new big films. Apart from the music tour abroad, Anirudh’s upcoming films include Indian 2, Jailer, Junior NTR’s film, Shahrukh’s Atli film Jawaan Eke Goin. So it is reported that Anirudh turned down his best friend SK’s film as part of his decision not to take up a new big project.
