Are Latvians worried about the migrant crisis at the Lithuanian-Belarusian border? – In Latvia

Recently, the flow of migrants from Iraq and other countries across the Lithuanian-Belarusian border has increased sharply. Lithuanian officials believe that the Belarussian regime is deliberately facilitating the flow of migrants and is concerned that a similar scenario could recur in Latvia. What is the public opinion on this issue, reveals the data of the “Kantar” survey, which was presented by the news program “900 seconds”.

The survey shows the following: 35% of Latvians aged 18 to 60 have indicated that they are worried about the migrant crisis at the Lithuanian-Belarusian border, almost as many respondents said that they are not worried about this crisis.

About one-fifth of the population is unaware of the migrant crisis at the Lithuanian-Belarusian border, but almost a tenth have no opinion on the issue.
