Director Jon Watts you probably know most of his Spider-Man films that he made for Marvel Studios. Coming soon from the filmmaker Spider-Man: No Way Home and he has to work for Marvel with Fantastic Four.
Now it comes out via The Hollywood Reporter that Watts will first start with a film in which the Hollywood stars are expected George Clooney (Michael Clayton, Up in the Air) on Brad Pitt (Fight Club, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) will have a role.
Watts will write, direct and produce the film, with Clooney and Pitt co-producing through their respective production houses Smokehouse Pictures and Plan B Entertainment. Both Pitt and Clooney are expected to have $20 million in salary.
All of Hollywood wants to buy the movie
Reportedly, all major Hollywood studios and streaming services are in the running for the rights. Sony, Lionsgate, Apple and Netflix in particular would like to purchase the film. The plot details are still being kept secret, but the film is said to be a thriller in which two crooks turn out to be on the same job.
The big question is what impact the project will have on Marvel Studios’ release Fantastic Four. It was assumed that the Marvel film would be released in the summer of 2023, but that could just be later.
