BLITAR MEDIA – The government urges people to wear masks in carrying out activities outside the home to prevent the spread of the virus Covid-19. However we are often confused about masks the most effective used for these daily activities.
Recent research conducted by Cambridge University and Northwestern University suggests that masks made of cloth are proven effective in preventing the spread of the virus Covid-19.

Quoted from Antara, the researchers revealed that most of the cloths commonly used for non-clinical face masks effective in filtering ultrafine particles that may contain viruses such as SARS-CoV-2 which among other things are viruses that can cause COVID-19.
In the study, the researchers tested all samples from t-shirts, socks to jeans, and vacuum bags to see which type of mask material was the most. effective in filtering out particles at a high speed which reflects how they work if a person coughs or breathes heavily while wearing a mask.

They also examined the effectiveness of N95-type masks and surgical masks, which are more commonly worn by health care professionals.
The N95 mask proved to be very effective in those tests, however, the reusable HEPA vacuum bag actually outperformed the N95 in several tests.
