Al-Marsad newspaper: endocrinology and pediatrics consultant, Dr. Abdel Moeen Al-Agha, stressed the need to be careful in using glasses, be they plastic or cardboard, due to the health damage they can cause to humans.
Asked, during a speech in the “Yahla” program of the “Rotana Gulf” channel, about the damage of cardboard cups compared to their plastic counterparts, he said: “The cups depend on the materials they are made of and if they contain polyethylene, they are safe, whether in cups or glass containers. And if they contain hazardous materials such as polystyrene, the damage of these containers is great, especially if they are exposed to hot materials such as tea and coffee. “
Al-Agha stressed that the damage caused by using plastic or cardboard cups does not only depend on the material they are made of, but also on the materials in which they are used.
