A typing error meant that ardent fans of Bruce Springsteen on Thursday morning spent a few thousand pounds to buy a ticket to a concert with Broiler.

On Thursday morning, the organizer Live Nation opened exclusive advance sales of tickets for the concert with Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band at Dokken in Bergen next summer. Each individual then had the opportunity to buy up to eight tickets for NOK 990 each.
But when the first and most eager clicked on “buy tickets”, they were transferred to a link with Broiler’s concert in Oslo Spektrum on 1 March 2024. Not quite what they had in mind, in other words.

Martin Nilsen in Live Nation says that they were quickly made aware of the error which was due to a human error when the correct link to Ticketmaster was to be published.
– There are six to eight people who have experienced this, but these have already had their tickets refunded and received new tickets for Springsteen, says Martin Nilsen to VG.

Springsteen fan Henrik Svensli never had time to press the buy button, but the wait for the right link to the Springsteen tickets was too long.
– We who came first in the Broiler queue ended up last in the Springsteen queue. Then there were 8,000 or something in the queue and sold out, Svensli tells VG.
VG has spoken to a handful of other eager ticket buyers who have experienced being sluiced to the Broiler concert, but only two of these were able to buy a Springsteen ticket in the end, even after ending up at the back of nearly 8,000 in the queue, they say.
Henrik Svensli admits that it is a bit sad to experience such a thing when he was so early.
– We are eight guys who were at Springsteen in Oslo this summer and were looking forward to seeing him again in Bergen. Now we just have to sit ready when the ordinary sales start and hope that it goes better then, says Svensli.
The ordinary start of sales for the rest of the tickets is on 6 November at 10.00
