After Stefan Mross had to struggle with the heat on “Immer wieder sonntags” last time, this time it is the opposite. It is pouring with rain in Rust. “We remain optimistic,” the 48-year-old stressed at the beginning of the ARD broadcast. But the production has already made provisions.

The guests are all equipped with umbrellas, and the audience is also wearing rain capes. But that doesn’t spoil the mood. “I’m looking forward to a rainy morning,” Stefan Mross announces. Sometimes, however, he himself can hardly keep his eyes open when presenting. The star trumpeter even has to laugh out loud again and again. “I just think it’s so wonderful how they all stand behind the camera. There’s huge applause. You’re all just as wet,” he says to the staff.

Stefan Mross himself does not need an umbrella, which is also evident from his soaking wet jacket. While Bernhard Brink (72) is performing, he is even handed a new one. The reactions online are mixed, however. “Stefan Mross feels so selfless and great to consistently stand in the rain and be celebrated for it,” criticizes one viewer on X. Another, however, writes: “Brave to expose yourself to the nasty rain and defy it so much.” The audience, however, is pitied: “I do feel a bit sorry for the people in Rust who are sitting in the rain. A roof like that now and then wouldn’t be bad.”

In the last season of “Immer wieder sonntags”, Stefan Mross also got wet – but for a completely different reason.
