Artist Arttu Kuosmanen, 32, known as Archie Cruz, has put his Helsinki apartment up for sale.
Kuosmanen confirms to Iltalehti that he is selling his long-term apartment in Kalasatama. 549,000 euros are being asked for a 49-square-meter two-bedroom apartment.
The square meter price of the apartment in question will therefore rise to around 11,000 euros.
There is no mistaking the owner of the corner apartment on the seventh floor. The apartment’s sales announcement shows the rocker’s numerous guitars and amplifiers in the corner of the living room. The sign above the TV reads “Welcome to Cruz pit” according to the artist’s stage name.
Now the artist is planning a change of life and moving to calmer landscapes.
– We are looking for a bigger room and preferably more remote. Both would like a more peaceful environment. However, I have lived in the city all my adult life and I would like to calm down in the countryside, the artist sheds light on her and her fiancé Iida Vainio’s future plans.
Kuosmanen says that a couple of good targets have already been found. He is completely ready to move out of the city, and especially out of the core.
– I want a room where you can go out on the terrace in the morning and no neighbor is going to hang out right away.
Nowadays, instead of living in an apartment building, the artist dreams of own space, privacy and doing yard work. The yard should also have space for animals to run around, among other things.
In the spring, Kuosmanen and Vainio got a Siberian husky puppy, with which the days go by quickly.
– A husky is not a city dog either, yes, you can manage with it, but it requires dune, he says and adds that he often takes Jelly the dog further away from the city for longer forest runs.

The artist grew up in a detached house and in the countryside. He thinks that it’s good to spend your youth in the city, because then you usually have to be on the go all the time.
When spending weekends in nightclubs isn’t that interesting anymore, there’s nothing in the city anymore that attracts you.
– It is my dream that you are a bit like the host. Not the lord of the manor now, but the master of the house.
According to Kuosmanen, the future home should be as close as possible to Helsinki, but far from the city atmosphere. The immediate neighbors should be further than a stone’s throw away.
– Beautiful landscapes, fields and beautiful country roads, what to drive there. Such an idyllic place where the soul rests, Kuosmanen lists.
