Archie and Lilibet have playdates with this celebrity’s kids

As James Corden made his name on the now iconic Gavin und Stacey series, we doubt he ever thought he would one day reunite with the royal family. But since moving across the pond to Los Angeles in 2015, the actor-turned-TV host appears to have just done so. In fact, James recently revealed that he and Prince Harry are pretty good friends and their kids even play together regularly.

ICYMI, the couple bonded when James invited Harry on to his favorite US talk show The late, late show – which he took over after moving to the States – in February 2021, although they were previously acquaintances, with James and his wife attending the Sussexes’ 2018 wedding. According to The late, late show The couple’s friendship blossomed as Harry and his wife Meghan Markle also live in California, where they relocated after leaving as senior working royals.

Speaking about his relationship with the royal couple, the 43-year-old continued: “I’m a huge fan of both of them. Obviously I know Harry better than Meghan but I think it’s really hard to judge or be judgmental.”

Referring to the criticism the couple has faced after stepping down from royal duties, James continued: “People process things and deal with things in different ways and that’s okay and it’s okay to think whatever you think about someone. I don’t know it needs to be said all the time, but my experience with them has been nothing but positive.

“I have great respect and admiration for Harry, and anyone who has been around and spent time with him would feel the same way,” he added. “I think he is a devoted and loving husband and father and I think what they have done [in turning away from royal life] is incredibly brave and I will always be in her corner.”

Finally, James said: “I have nothing but admiration and respect for her. I think it’s impossible to really judge any of it.”
