The organization Archewellproperty of Prince Harry and Meghan Marklemade donations worth only 1.2 million dollars to nonprofit organizations this year, its annual report reveals.
Under the motto “Show Up, Do Good,” the foundation supported projects that included $200,000 for a “gender justice” project in Washington, $125,000 for a civil rights charity, and $100,000 for a project that promotes the use responsible for technology.
There was also support for a mining charity, the Halo Trust, which was also supported by the Princess Diana.
Specifically, Archewell only received two donations of £795,210 each last year. This represents a drop of 8.7 million pounds compared to the previous year, since in 2021 that same amount exceeded 10.3 million and came from various donors.
The aforementioned Archewell Foundation report for 2023 and tax information for 2022 shed a clearer financial light on Harry and Meghan’s work life in the United States.
Archewell, founded when Prince Harry and Meghan moved to the United States and stepped down from official royal duties, is now in its third full year of operation, with the charitable foundation working alongside its production arms.
Archewell launched with initial revenue of $13 million in 2021, with another $2 million raised in 2021 and then $5 million in 2022, generating grants of $5.4 million over those years.
Tax returns show the foundation spent more than it received in 2022, but the $674,000 difference was less than the $8.5 million in remaining funding, which has since increased to $11.2 million.
