The Arche house will reveal its secrets for the first time, after fifty-five years of existence. This family business has been designing and manufacturing, since 1968, shoes with an atypical design, recognizable thanks to the three codes of the brand: color, purity and flexibility.
The public will be able to discover how the different models are designed during an open day on Monday, May 8, 2023. On that day, employees will be present at their workstations to discuss with visitors. “The idea is to share an experience in real time with our craftsmen and to discuss with them the reality of their daily lives, their experience, their training and their background. It is important that they are there to highlight our values and our different trades »explains Charlotte Philibert, CSR manager at Arche.
From 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the curious will have the opportunity to stroll through the workshops to discover all the stages of shoe manufacturing, from its creation to its design. “The goal is to show how we work and what a shoe is because we don’t imagine everything behind it”indicates the one who is also the granddaughter of the founders of the house, Robert and Andrée Hélaine.
Indeed, nearly 120 operations are necessary. “A shoe is a complex object. There is behind the gesture, the craftsman and the know-how. We want to take a fresh look at the items we wear. »
A job dating to recruit new talents
A job dating will also be organized: a location dedicated to this event will be set up in the heart of the workshops. A way for Maison Arche to present the brand and possible openings, but also to listen to what potential future candidates are looking for, to meet people and recruit new talent.
Children will not be forgotten since activities have been prepared for them throughout the course. Among them, a leather challenge, a design workshop focused on drawing and the creation or assembly of a souvenir gift at the end of the visit. The factory store will also be open.
