Archbishop Christory, bishop of Chartres, after the death of Benedict XVI: “I keep the memory of a man who is truly a servant”

What does Benedict XVI represent in his relationship with religion?
For me he was an important figure. He is the second pope of my priesthood. I found in him a man of great finesse. He had asked John Paul II to retire to pray and study. And not only could he not do this, but he agreed to become pope, which was a huge burden for him. I see in him a man of great goodness, of great humility. A very delicate and decisive look at the same time. He was also a man of great biblical and theological culture who tried to operate both charity and truth.
