After several mysterious recordings on social networking sites, Canadian indocade band Arcade Fire has released a new song, Lightning I, II, and a video of it.
This is the first single since the album “Everything Now” released in 2017, during which the band also visited the Green Stage of Mežaparks. Arcade Fire has also announced the release date of their sixth album, WE, on May 6. The album will be released under the auspices of Columbia Records.
The authors of the album “WE” are the group’s soloist Vins Batlers, the group’s member Regina Schassen and the British producer Nigel Godrich. The recordings were made in New Orleans, El Paso and elsewhere, and the long process of writing music was distilled into a 40-minute epic. The songs are permeated by both the forces that separate us from our loved ones and the determination to overcome them. The album is divided into two parts: the first part “I” or “I” will tell about fear and loneliness in isolation, and the second part “We” or “we” will be full of rejoicing.
