LIV-PGA Tour deal: Arab League wants Woods and McIlroy
The Super League proposes that the two outriders be captains of two different teams
In a 276-page document unveiled by the US Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, under the heading “proposals for your consideration”, LIV Golf has asked the PGA Tour that Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy may play ten Super League events, but also captain two different teams.
Not only that: the idea of the Arabs is also “to create national teams to further increase the level of interest in the Ryder Cup.”
The conditions
As for Woods, who in the past appears to have turned down a nearly billion-dollar offer from LIV Golf, there is, however, a “fitness-related” variable.
Among other requests to the PGA Tour is that it organize “a minimum of two tests of the maximum American circuit under the auspices of Pif”, the Saudi sovereign wealth fund.
