Arab Drama Festival Celebrates ‘Sixty Years of Drama’ in El Alamein

Yesterday, the Arab Drama Festival awards ceremony was held in the Egyptian city of El Alamein, under the title “Sixty Years of Drama”, in the presence of a large number of stars and stars of art in Egypt and the most prominent drama makers.

Despite the festival’s birth last year, it succeeded in achieving a position among the most prominent art festivals that take place in Egypt and the Arab world, and its name “Trend” was published on various communication sites, yesterday, until the early hours of Friday morning.

Different and disparate looks witnessed by the red carpet event, where the owners succeeded in capturing the attention and sparking controversy around them, most notably Asma, the daughter of the artist Sharif Mounir, who appeared completely shaved, wearing a bold silver dress, and thus raised the astonishment of the attendees of the artists and media.

Sherif Mounir’s daughter made the decision to completely shave her hair hours before the start of the festival, and attributed the reason for this to its significant loss as a result of her glandular disease.

Asma was criticized and ridiculed by some of the users of the communication sites, as she was accused of deliberately raising the controversy and leading the “trend” with those bold actions and looks that she appeared in recently.

Laila Ezz Al-Arab is one of the artists who stole the spotlight on the red carpet, as she appeared in a pharaonic-style dress, hours after her controversial statements during her hosting of a television program, in which she denied the existence of the so-called pharaohs or pharaonic civilization in Egypt.

A distinctive and bold look adopted by the artist, Dina El-Sherbiny, in this ceremony, when she wore a blue and green open-chested dress, and decorated it with a group of silver jewelry, and she was praised by many of the pioneers of the communication sites, while others benefited from her as bold.

The able artist Sawsan Badr, who presented the Pioneers Award to the winners, appeared in a dress of phosphorescent color, which exposed her to ridicule on social media, as many confirmed that it is one of the colors harmful to visual vision.

The lining crisis occurred in the actress Ola Ghanem, as she appeared with a soft look at the festival, so she wore a black dress, transparent and exposed at the chest, and succeeded in raising controversy about her after some questioned the existence of a lining and revealed the features of her body.

As usual, the media, Bossi Shalaby, the widow of the late artist Mahmoud Yassin, topped the “trend” because of a photo she published within the festival’s activities, which brought her together with the star Amr Youssef, where she used one of the photo editing programs, and the latter appeared wearing cosmetics, which prompted him to respond quickly to it through his personal account in Instagram, publishing his real photo, and confirming that he did not take pictures with her on any artistic occasion.

It is noteworthy that the second session of the Arab Drama Festival witnessed the honoring of a large number of drama stars, most notably Karim Abdel Aziz, director Kamela Abu Zekry, Majed El Kadwany, Mona Zaki, actress Menna Shalaby, Mohamed Heneidy, Lubna Abdel Aziz, and the name of the late artist Mahmoud Abdel Aziz; The award was received by his two sons, Karim and Muhammad Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, Sheikh Saleh Kamel.
