This operation is the largest green syndicated loan carried out this year in Spain. The financing is linked to Aqualia’s Green Financing Framework, which has received advice from CaixaBank, and which has been backed by a Second Party Opinion from DNV, which has validated the eligibility of the projects that are aligned with the Green Loan Principles. of LMA.
According to Isidoro Marbán, CFO of Aqualia: “This is financing that gives Aqualia great stability in its long-term capital structure at a time when the financial markets present a high degree of volatility and that comes to recognize the solidity of the business and its orientation towards a sustainable economy and services”.
The financing has also had the participation of Allen & Overy and Garrigues as legal advisors for the operation.
