Second edition in Jesolo for Festival “Aqua – The philosophy of the sea”, 15 events at dawn and dusk from 15 to 29 June between the beach of Piazza Brescia with the stage by the sea, the Pegaso Park and, new this year, the JMuseo. A Festival that is growing, with a program that combines music, theatre, poetry, scientific dissemination, travel, art, words and thought.

Theme of this second edition, I prefer the sound of the sea, a tribute to the noise that heals and distances us from the noise, which pushes us to undress and not fear the abyss. And which connects the emotional sphere with the nature that surrounds us, through the common thread of water, a trait d’union between events. The “Aqua – The philosophy of the sea” Festival is promoted by the Municipality of Jesolo and the JesoloVenice Tourist Business Consortium, with the artistic direction of Marilisa Capuano and the organization of Gabriele Vian.
THE PROGRAM
Preview on Saturday 15 June (8.00 pm – Piazza Brescia beach) with Francesco Costa and his new book Borderanother surprising and memorable journey to the United States, that New World that always finds a way to show us the general evidence of what we will see in our parts, for better or for worse.
Sunday 16 June, waking up at dawn (5.30 am – Piazza Brescia beach) with Roberto Cacciapaglia: at sunrise, in the magical atmosphere of the Jesolo beach, voice and piano, leads on a musical journey in search of neutrality, of a vocality beyond time, neither ancient nor modern, beyond genres to go to the source, to the ideal generative act.
Emotions between poetry and music, Monday 17 June at 8.30pm on the beach of Piazza Brescia, emotions that become stories and narration in the intertwining of the poetic words of Franco Arminio and moments of piano music by Gloria Bellin a cyclical interchange that instills lifeblood without interruption.
A monologue written specifically for the Aqua Festival is what Debora Villa will present on Tuesday 18 June at the beach in Piazza Brescia (7.00 pm): Mother Water it is a piece in perfect balance with his talent as a tightrope walker between satire, narratives, theatrical tales and therapeutic comedy.
In the same place, at 8.30 pm, Mogulaccompanied on the piano by the Maestro Gioni Barberatells, with the counterpoint of anecdotes and personal stories, the evolution of Italian song starting from the 1960s, the golden era in which its evergreen verses impacted the collective imagination, creating the soundtrack of our lives.
Wednesday 19 June at dawn (5.30 am – Piazza Brescia beach) the composer and songwriter Giovanni Dell’Olivo presents with some musicians from the Collettivo di Lagunaria Venetiko Rebetikoor the Tradotte del Mare, a musical journey through the Mediterranean routes, which ideally takes us back to the routes of the Mude da Mar, traveled since the Middle Ages by Venetian merchants.
At 9.00 pm at Pegaso Park, Paolo Borzacchielloone of the leading experts in linguistic intelligence, presents Bada a come parla, his new lesson-show that reveals the way in which language can transform our lives, surprising us with the power and magic of words and explaining how to use them in the right way. better, especially today when chat, social media and the increasingly syncopated rhythms of life force us to synthesize.
Friday 21 June (5.30 am – Piazza Brescia beach) Gianluca Gotto shares his philosophy of travel by taking us on an itinerary between spirituality and nature, which is a journey within and outside oneself, to help us, surrounded by the first light of dawn, to find a slice of serenity and shut out the outside world for a few hours.
At 9.00 pm, again on the beach in Piazza Brescia, the former Afterhours frontman, multi-instrumentalist, producer and TV face Manuel Agnelli will transport the Festival audience on an acoustic and emotional journey through the songs of Afterhours and his first solo project, Love your neighbor as yourselfan invocation to universal brotherhood, love of neighbor and individual freedom.
Double appointment at the JMuseo on Saturday 22 June: at 5.00pm Aqua puts the spotlight on news and current affairs with the Repubblica journalist and writer Lucio Lucawho presents his latest book in Jesolo The Night of the Anti-Mafia – An Italian story of power, corruption and denied justice, a novel based on an incredible true story that happened in Sicily. At 6.30pm the art critic Luca Beatrice with the lectio magistralis The link between man and the natural environment told by Art investigates a very close link that art has represented since its origins, delineating it more and more over time, with the desire of the human being to depict that whole of sensations and moods that nature is capable of arousing in him.
At 8.30pm we return to the beach in Piazza Brescia with Matteo Saudino, aka BarbaSophiaand his lectio The shapes of water written exclusively for Jesolo: from cosmology to politics, from ethics to aesthetics, Saudino undertakes a journey at the festival among the various forms taken by water in the history of thought, a journey at the end of which blue gold will no longer be seen with the same eyes as before.
Tuesday 25 June (8.30 pm – Piazza Brescia beach) Alessandro Bergonzoni con How much is it word for word? In this lectio written specifically for the Aqua Festival, the “altrist” is grappling with the multiplication of the loaves and fishes, and with the miracle of the languages of thought, in the typical surreal style of Bergonzoni which sees him playing with words, combining unthinkable elements, sounds and objects.
Thursday 27 June (8.30 pm – Piazza Brescia beach) returns by popular demand to Jesolo Vincenzo Schettinithe “rockstar” of scientific dissemination, with a new lesson created specifically for the Festival in which he talks to us about the Physics of the sea: with his usual energy and competence, this time he takes us to discover energy on a journey between land and sea, where there will be no shortage of surprises especially for the younger audience.
The second edition of the Aqua Festival closes on Saturday 29 June at 8.30pm on the Piazza Brescia beach, with an unprecedented collaboration between the singer-songwriter and musician Paola Turci and the music critic Gino Castaldowhich gave birth to a new artistic project, Il tempo dei Giganti, which, between music and words, promises to tell the story of the magical three-year period of Italian music, between 1979 and 1981.
