The layoffs at Aptiv took place on Monday at noon. Over 200 employees suddenly received an invitation to a remote meeting, during which they received emails in their inboxes. They found notices of termination combined with dismissal from work. They were given several dozen minutes to pack their things and leave the Krakow office – reports “Gazeta Wyborcza”, which talked to the dismissed employees.
The matter was taken up by Left MPs on Tuesday. Daria Gosek-Popiołek, Adrian Zandberg and Maciej Konieczny submitted a request to the District Labor Inspector in Krakow to conduct an inspection in the corporation.

He adds that he does not know yet whether trade unions operated at Aptiv, which is particularly important in the context of collective layoffs.
