US President Joe Biden lost his temper and lashed out at a British journalist when he asked him about the threat of war Vladimir Putin would pose to the West if Ukraine were allowed to use long-range missiles.
The incident occurred as Biden and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer held a key meeting at the White House in Washington. The Sky News correspondent pressed Biden on Putin’s threat, but the 81-year-old US president retorted: ” I say you shut up until I speak. Okay? That’s what I’m saying. After the meeting ended, the reporter asked Biden again what he thought of Vladimir Putin. “I don’t think much of Vladimir Putin,” Biden said. In his meeting with Starmer, Biden said Putin would not emerge victorious from the war against Ukraine. “The United States is determined to stand with you to help Ukraine defend itself against Russian aggression. Putin’s remarks come as U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, during a recent visit to Kiev, Ukraine, suggested that the White House was considering lifting the restrictions. The White House, however, denied the speculation, saying it had no plans to announce a new policy on Ukraine’s use of long-range missiles. Calling Putin’s rhetoric a“incredibly dangerouse”, the White House said, however: “Our view on providing Ukraine with long-range strike capabilities that can be used inside Russia does not change. »
