Ganda Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti won a landslide victory in the second party of the women’s team semifinal of the SEA Games 2021. Indonesia vs Vietnam is now in a 1-1 draw.
Compete at Bac Giang Gumnasium, on Tuesday (17/5/2022) morning, debutant duo Apriyani/Fadia it only took 28 minutes to beat Pham Thi Khanh/Van Anh Than.
Apriyani/Fadia did not get any significant opposition from the opponent. They only lost three points before finally closing the first game with a score of 21-3.
Similar game conditions occur in the second game. Apriyani/Fadia accelerated by winning 8 points. Had lost three points at 13-1, but Apriyani / Siti even further away and closed the second game with a score of 21-9.
Despite an easy win, Apriyani still considered the host’s representative to be quite good in balancing her and Siti Fadia’s game.
“We don’t see the quality of the opponents. We are more focused on preparing ourselves. They are also good and we are looking for ways to overcome that,” said Apriyani in a written statement.
Siti Fadia said the same thing. The match is against Pham Thi Khanh/Van Anh Than at the same time to adapt to the field conditions and the wind during the match.
However, the Indonesian women’s team has just started their match in the last four. In the quarter-finals that should have started yesterday, Merah Putih got a bye.
“We were looking for the atmosphere of the match first. Field conditions, wind and others,” said Siti Fadia.
More than that, Siti Fadia admitted that she was happy to be paired with Apriyani, who is a senior and a gold medalist at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. “I want to give my all, I don’t want to waste the opportunity given,” he said.
