PT Piaggio Indonesia will launch a new motorcycle in the near future. In the official invitation received by detikcom, this Italian motorcycle manufacturer will introduce a new motorbike next week.
Piaggio Indonesia announced the launch of a new motorcycle for the Aprilia brand. The launch of the new Aprilia motorcycle will be held next week, Saturday (16/7/2022).
No mention of what Aprilia motor will be introduced. The possibility is an automatic scooter (scooter) Aprilia SR GT 200 adventure. However, there is no further information on when this motorbike will be officially sold to the public.

Previously, PT Piaggio Indonesia, which carries the Aprilia brand in the country, has released a teaser motorbike for the Aprilia SR GT 200. The leak was found on their official website, which reads “Ciao Indonesia, Coming Soon”.
This potential competitor to the Honda ADV 160 has also been exhibited in Indonesia, to be precise at the Mandalika 2022 MotoGP. The motorbike has an adventure scooter aura combined with a sporty feel.
In appearance, the sporty aura of the Aprilia SR GT comes out of the front fascia which is similar to their sportbike, the RS 660. Then from the side, the shape is quite sturdy, with curves, as well as the multilevel seat model.
The headlights are LED, with a high windshield position. Then it adopts wide handlebars and is equipped with a digital instrument panel that can be connected to a smartphone.
From the braking sector, this motorbike is also equipped with ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) features. The braking system uses 260 mm discs at the front and 220 mm disc brakes at the rear. There is storage space under the seat with a capacity of 25 liters and is claimed to be able to fit a full face helmet.
As for the suspension, unfortunately it has not been equipped with upside down front shock absorbers (USD). The front suspension uses the Showa brand measuring 33 mm and the rear shock uses Showa coil springs, with preload settings.
In terms of specifications, Aprilia SR GT 200 comes with a single cylinder 174 cc engine. The machine is claimed to spit out a maximum power of 17.43 horsepower at 8,750 rpm and peak torque at 7,000 rpm.
