‘April… Letters, Culture, Music and much more’ continues with its program of activities

The Buenavista del Norte City Council continues with its cultural agenda framed in the project April… Literature, Culture, Music and much more. Since last Wednesday, programming has continued with ‘Encounters with an author’, with special emphasis on Canarian literature. For this, several literary pieces from the Diego Pun Ediciones publishing house were selected. These literary encounters have had some of their authors.

Music will take center stage this Friday, April 16 at 8:00 p.m. in Plaza de Los Remedios. This time through the show Voices in the distance, an emotional journey with which we will meet again with the music of other times in the voices of Isabel González, Montse García, Silvia Zorita and Alejandro Mendoza. A tour with the most emblematic themes and artists of the Spanish music scene, which will be a reason for the viewer to remember, participate and sing some of the songs that sounded the most during many eras.

The little ones will be able to enjoy the staging of the musician-children’s show Los Trolls this Saturday, April 17.

In the afternoon, at 6:00 p.m., the House of Culture will be the place chosen for the realization of a debate organized by the cultural collective Vientos de Daute that aims to address Canarian speech as a sociolinguistic construction that connects Canarian culture and identity. In short, through this space for debate, jointly reflect in an introspective way in order to understand how Canarian speech is configured in the popular imagination of the Archipelago.

Poetry and dance at the Punta de Teno Lighthouse

‘Dance and the Sea’ is undoubtedly one of the most attractive proposals of this program, not only for its artistic quality, but also for its staging in a natural and picturesque setting such as the Punta de Teno lighthouse. It will be this Sunday, April 18 at 12:00 hours.

Those who come to this unique space will enjoy a contemporary dance and poetry show by dancer Roberto Torres and Ernesto Rodríguez Abad, university professor, writer and director of the Los Silos International Short Story Festival.
