World Earth Selfie Day is an annual event that celebrates the beauty and diversity of our planet. The day is celebrated on April 22, associated with Earth Day. It was first recognized in 2014 by NASA, which encouraged people around the world to take selfies against the background of local nature and share the photo on social networks using the hashtag #GlobalSelfie. This holiday complements a number of international and worldwide environmental and nature protection events throughout the year.
