According to the interviewee, the authorities are waiting to receive information from the Federal Government on the arrival of a new batch of vaccines against Covid-19 for children in Baja California, which could arrive in April.
This batch seeks to cover the missing doses for the nearly 10,000 children who received their first dose during the first months of 2023 and are waiting for the second.
Evangelista Torres confirmed that so far there is no confirmation or arrival date for these vaccines, since although there is a biological existence in the country, it will not be distributed until it is authorized by the Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (Cofepris ).

The head of the Vaccination Program in the state pointed out that there are about 70,000 boys and girls in Baja California who already have the complete scheme of the vaccine against Covid-19, which represents between 70 and 80% of minors. in the state.
