The Federal Commission for Protection from Health Risks (Cofepris) has authorized the emergency use of the Sovereign and Sovereign PL vaccine, in order to expand the vaccination schedule, it was announced in a statement and on social media.
As of November 26, 2021, the Cuban organic had received a favorable opinion from the National Committee for Science and Technology and Innovation in Health of the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT).
In addition to the opinion of Conacyt, the national regulatory authority of reference (NRA), qualified by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), was instrumental in the authorization, as it met the quality, safety and efficacy requirements to be applied in the population.
