Apprenticeship and high school diploma as a career start: twins from Wies reach for the stars

Susanne and Ferdinand Semmernegg got off to a flying start after their apprenticeship and high school diploma. Since their master’s or qualification examination, the twins have been working on their personal success story – separately and yet together.

“After secondary school, we chose two different career paths, so it was all the nicer and special for both of us that we always graduated from high school in the same year, got the master’s examination, the master’s certificate and the ‘Stars of Styria’ award,” say the two through various training and life paths, which, however, have many parallels to this day. “It was nice to share these moments together, because we have a very good relationship with each other and also like to exchange ideas,” says Susanne Semmernegg.

Parents support as the basis of success

After graduating from the CPR Deutschlandsberg In 2014 she started her training as a medical masseuse. With the qualification test in her pocket, she is now self-employed in Eibiswald.
After finishing school, her brother Ferdinand opted for an apprenticeship with a Matura, passed the final apprenticeship examination to become a structural draftsman in 2012, the final apprenticeship examination to become a carpenter in 2014 and was pleased to have completed his apprenticeship with a Matura in 2015. In the same year he also passed the master craftsman’s examination as a carpenter.
“All of this was only possible because our parents always gave us great support,” emphasizes Ferdinand Semmernegg, who is not only proud of this recorded relationship in his private life, but is also closely connected to his parents professionally, as he is a family business Semmernegg Möbelwerkstätten GesmbH will take over in the fourth generation.
What do the two successful young people from Wieser want to give when choosing their training path? “Even if it is often strenuous, believe in your goals. With passion for your job and enjoyment of life, you can do anything if you want to.”
