(CercleFinance.com) – Boeing yesterday announced the appointment of Dr. Brendan Nelson as the new president of Boeing International (BI) and director of international strategy and corporate operations.
The former diplomat and Australian government minister will succeed Sir Michael Arthur when he retires from Boeing in early 2023.
Brendan Nelson will relocate to London to take up his new role, effective 12 January 2023. He will oversee 20 regional offices in key global markets.
Boeing says that when he was Australia’s defense minister, Brendan Nelson notably oversaw deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, East Timor and the Solomon Islands. He then served as Australian ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg, the European Union and NATO for three years.
Maria Fernandez will succeed Brendan Nelson as president of Boeing Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific effective December 20, 2022.
