Appointment of the Syli support staff: the overbidding of too many Kaba Diawara which creates a diversion (editorial)

CONAKRY- Kaba Diawara and his supporters are already starting to find scapegoats for a possible debacle in perspective of the national syli at CAN 2024. All tricks, even the most eccentric and fanciful are scrutinized to create a diversion. We want to divert attention to the catastrophic results of management of the same order, to suffocate ourselves with a case of hypothetical interference in the management of staff.

Kaba Diawara and his supporters are protesting against appointments to the support staff. Hear the positions of media officers, steward, team manager, videographer. We can agree that the coach demands quality in the choices of his collaborators. But it’s absurd that we are being harped on with comments like: this one doesn’t get along with another, I don’t like this person, I want my team, not other people… it’s unfortunately what we support in the entourage of the current coach.

Worse, we want to get public opinion to accept a possible setback for the team. The setback that we want, in the same logic, to attribute to these choices. What a stupid thing !

It is important to remember that the choices which depend exclusively on the coach are his assistants who he negotiates and pays in his salary. Reason why, since his arrival at the head of the syli, Kaba Diawara has dismissed, for reasons unknown to the general public, more than five of his collaborators who are in this category. He recruited as many, the latest case of which is Fousseny Diawara, consultant to canal+, rejected by the Malian football federation with which he worked as assistant to the head coach, for insufficient results.

Despite these choices which flirt with mediocrity, the former Guinean international has been granted the right to proceed in this way to reorganize his staff.

Once again, yes to the quality in the choices by the Ministry of Sports, which is not exempt from criticism. But no to the incongruous reaction which gives the impression that everything must work in the team according to the mood and the will of a coach, even if he is mediocre.
