Kim Ki-hyun, leader of the People Power Party, appointed In Yo-han (64), professor at Yonsei University School of Medicine, as the chairman of the innovation committee to lead the party’s reform work. It has been 12 days since the defeat in the by-election for the head of Gangseo-gu, Seoul, and 11 days since Representative Kim announced the launch of a party reform organization.

After announcing the results of the Innovation Committee selection at the Supreme Committee meeting held at the National Assembly on the 23rd, Representative Kim said, “I would like to appoint Professor In as the Chairman of the Innovation Committee who will bring true change to the party.”

Representative Kim said, “Professor In, the first special naturalized person of the Republic of Korea, was born in Jeonju, grew up in Suncheon, Jeollanam-do, and comes from a family that has practiced unconditional love for Korea.” He said, “He has a deep insight and insight into resolving regionalism and national integration, such as expressing his will to become the president of Jeolla-do.”

Representative Kim announced the launch of the party reform organization to party members on the 12th and formalized the launch of the party innovation committee at the Supreme Council meeting on the 16th. After receiving recommendations from people inside and outside the party for the chairman of the innovation committee, he proceeded with the selection process.

However, it was difficult to appoint a person as the people he contacted declined one after another, but it is said that Professor In, who gave a bitter lecture against the People Power Party last August, was asked to be the chairman of the Innovation Committee and finally received his acceptance.

He said, “All of us in the party must act with the desperate determination that if we do not change, we will be destroyed altogether,” and added, “Rather than simply changing clothes, we must all participate in boldly cutting out those areas that are at odds with the public’s sentiment, thereby promoting the true reform of the party.” “We must create change,” he emphasized.
