Appointment of Ambassador Amr Al-Hamami as Egyptian Ambassador to Turkey: Strengthening Egyptian-Turkish Relations

Today, Wednesday, Ambassador Amr El-Hamami presented his credentials to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, as Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Turkey, according to a statement issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Ambassador Amr Al-Hamami expressed to the Turkish President his pride in being appointed as the first Egyptian ambassador to Turkey after more than 10 years, stressing his intention to work to strengthen Egyptian-Turkish relations and advance them in all fields.

For his part, the Turkish President conveyed his sincere greetings to the President of the Republic, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and Erdogan stressed the common historical and cultural heritage between the two countries and their brotherly peoples, and the importance of restoring cooperation frameworks between Egypt and Turkey at all levels, praising the level of trade relations, and highlighting the necessity of reaching broader horizons. As soon as possible, taking into account that Egypt is Turkey’s first trading partner in Africa.
