The organizer of the competition is the talent study of the Budapest Music School, whose head is Gábor Finta, a former dancer of the Pécs Ballet, who revealed that the goal of the competition is long-term collaboration and talent nurturing.
– The first Dal Derby aims to be a talent search in which the main role belongs to the competitors, and the success is not short-term. We would like to show them the way and support them: we are thinking about shooting video clips, studio albums, creating an album together – he said Gábor Finta added to bama.hu: singing and music can create a strong cohesive force, and this competition can accommodate that as well.
The productions are evaluated by a professional jury, whose members are: Ferenc Mátyás prize-winning composer Erkel Várkonyi, Bea Berecz, singer of the Apostol orchestra, Sándor Nagy Jaszai Mari, actor and opera singer Klaudia Pánczél who won an award.
Applicants between the ages of 8 and 25 are welcome to apply in various age groups and categories until May 5. They can submit a video for the first round, and those who reach the finals can compete and show off their skills in a big show on June 8 at the Lóvasút Cultural and Events Center in the capital.
