Microsoft (MS) is deploying a search service ‘Bing’ chatbot using artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot ‘ChatGPT’ on the Windows 11 task bar. It is read as an intention not to give up the initiative in the field of generative AI by expanding support for Bing.
On the 28th (local time), MS released a Windows 11 update that added this function. Users can quickly access the new version of Bing by accessing the taskbar search box. The search box, which is used by more than 500 million people every month, is widely used in Windows. If you’re using the Bing preview, you can access the new search box with just a Windows update.
In addition, it introduced Phone Link for iOS, an operating system (OS) for iPhone, to increase iPhone users’ Windows 11 PC work efficiency. The connection between Windows PC and Android devices has also been further strengthened, allowing Samsung phone users to access all the content they enjoy on their mobile phone right from their Windows PC. In addition, ‘Windows Studio Effect’ has been added to the taskbar. Function settings such as effect adjustment can be set right from the task bar, and it can be easily applied to video conferencing environments such as Teams.
Panos Panay, Microsoft Chief Product Officer, said, “Windows PCs are closer than ever before to our daily lives, and this is becoming more a reality with the new computing trend led by the introduction of AI.” Updates will continue to reinvent and improve the way people work on their PCs.”
