Apple’s surprise along with the iPhone 13: new MacBook Pro with Mini-LED display

Apple is preparing all its suppliers for one of the most important launches of the year, the new generation of MacBook Pros with Mini-LED displays like those used in the new iPad Pro.

That’s the last leak out of the middle Digitimes, which states that Apple is targeting a launch for the third quarter of the year. In other words, the launch of the new Apple laptops would be closer than we thought.

It may seem like a sudden renovation, considering that less than a year ago Apple already launched the new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with M1 processor; however, those models are identical to the previous ones with an Intel processor, and they don’t really take advantage of the M1’s energy efficiency benefits. Apple’s plan was to release the processor in a well-known format, and update the design in a second generation.

Thus, rumors suggest that the MacBook (to dry) will return, and today they have gained traction after Apple has declared “obsolete” the original 12-inch model. The new MacBook will follow the design lines of the new iMac, including a large selection of colors and a more youthful style.

For its part, the MacBook Pro will stand out for brand new Mini-LED technology, which is already being used in the new iPad Pro. It consists of using thousands of small LED lights for the backlighting, greatly increasing the contrast and brightness compared to traditional panels. Apple has opted for this technology to avoid the expenses of making the leap to OLED panels, which first reached the iPhone and next year will reach the iPad.

The new MacBook Pro would be available in two screen sizes: 14 and 16 inches. As for the rest of the hardware, a new version of the M1 is expected, possibly called the M1X, or even a new processor. They could also surprise with a greater variety of ports, including HDMI and the new MagSafe, after years depending on Thunderbolt, although these will not disappear.
