It’s (almost) Christmas and Apple is thinking about developers with three new videos dedicated to optimizing interface performance. These three videos will allow developers to learn the right techniques and tips for creating smooth interfaces on iOS 14, but also macOS Big Sur and other systems designed by the company.
Here are the three videos:
They are in English, are between 10 and 20 minutes long and use the format of the WWDC technical sessions. Each time, an Apple developer explains how to optimize the graphics performance of an app, eliminate ” hitches », Small blockages in the interface that make an app less fluid, especially when scrolling.
Instruments, the app provided with Xcode that allows you to analyze app performance, is used to determine the source of these blockages. At the end of each video, some general recommendations are given to optimize the performance of an app.
