Apple’s new Magsafe battery supports reverse charge

On Tuesday, Apple launched a new battery pack that uses Magsafe, which makes it stick with the help of magnets.

The new battery pack is intended for the four models of Iphone 12 and the capacity is 11.13 watt hours (1,460 milliampere hours), which can be compared to 10.78 watt hours for the built-in battery.

An interesting detail is that there is support for reverse charging, which means that the battery pack is charged when you charge your Iphone. This is the first accessory from Apple that supports the technology.

For best results, a power adapter of at least 20 watts is recommended, reports Macrumors.

The price tag is on SEK 1,195, which includes VAT and shipping. Anyone who orders a copy now can expect to have it delivered between 22 and 26 July.

It should also be noted that the system requirement is iOS 14.7 or later, which means that you need to update your mobile to be able to use the battery pack.
