The leaders ofApple wish to recruit hundreds (even thousands) of engineers to develop new projects and compete with the giants of more and more sectors. This is why the firm has just offered itself a new campus for 445 million dollars.
Silicon Valley is going through a period of unprecedented crisis. However, the Cupertino company paid a large sum of money to acquire the Rancho Vista Corporate Centerlocated in San Diego, California.
The campus has everything teams need to work in peace and develop future Apple projects. It contains a fitness center, a café, sports fields… not to mention the offices. The building will not leave any employee indifferent.
According to our colleagues from Apple Insiderthis acquisition is part of a promise made by the American giant in 2019. At the time, Tim Cook pledged to create 1,200 jobs by 2022 on the San Diego side, including qualified engineers.
The latest rumors indicate that Apple could hire 5,000 people by 2026 on the new campus.
Recall that the Rancho Vista Corporate Center belonged to the company Hewlett Packard (HP). She had sold it to Swift Real Estate for $69 million. The latter carried out major renovations to improve the building, which won over the leaders of the American firm.
