Apple’s Move to Hard Buttons in iPhone Phones: Confirmation and Potential Delay

The first confirmation appeared from Apple about the move to hard buttons in iPhone phones soon instead of the default pressable ones in the rest of the series, and in all phones in general, in a wonderful move that aroused interest in the last period, and that may be in the iPhone 15 Pro for this year.

Rumors have swirled about the possibility of Apple turning to relying on solid buttons in the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro this year instead of push-buttons in the past three months, but the latest reports confirmed that the American company may delay its arrival for another year, that is, with the iPhone 16 Pro.

According to a report by MacRumors, what came in the leaks seems real about Apple’s plans to move to a new generation of buttons in the iPhone soon, after some developers dived into the code for the iOS 17 experimental operating system, where they noticed the existence of codes stating the multitasking of some buttons.

It is noteworthy here that Apple is launching trial versions of the next version of the operating system, iOS 17, for developers in order to discover what is new and qualify their applications to work on the latest versions without having to wait for the system to officially arrive, in order to save time for application makers.

And after the launch of the fourth beta version of iOS 17, developers noticed that there are new codes for the multitasking feature of one of the buttons, which is what came in the leaks about the interesting solid buttons feature.

The leaks stated that Apple will replace the volume control buttons and the transition to silent mode with one long, solid and non-pressible button, but it contains a sensor and an engine capable of distinguishing several different touches, and translating each of them into specific commands that the phone responds to according to preset settings.

The report confirmed that the developers noticed the presence of settings codes to perform several tasks through the same button, which is in line with the leaks.

The interesting thing is the presence of these codes in iOS 17 that will run the next generation, the iPhone 15, which is confusing because it is not in line with the leaks that said that Apple postponed the arrival of the first iPhone with hard buttons to the next year 2024, when the iPhone 16 will be launched, not 15.

Perhaps Apple is preparing for what is coming in 2024, and perhaps the company will be surprised by the presence of the interesting hard buttons feature in the iPhone 15 this year.

It is worth noting here that the leaks that revealed the feature of the hard buttons confirmed that it will come in the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models, but it will be in the basic phone, which is known as Apple gives the most attention to the Pro models.
