Apple has already begun work on the second generation of its mixed reality glasses, Vision Pro, despite the fact that the company has not yet launched the first generation, which was revealed last summer, but dates for launching it to users in the market have been set at the beginning of next year 2024.
Apple officially unveiled its first mixed reality (virtual + augmented) glasses, which was a revolutionary product that attracted attention from the moment of the announcement due to the exciting use experience and the futuristic capabilities that its user can perform as a different, more realistic model of virtual reality glasses.
According to a report from MacRumors, the second generation of Vision Pro glasses that Apple is currently testing has been spotted, despite the fact that the first generation, which will arrive to users in early 2024, has not been completely completed, but the company is working on the next generation, which will likely come in 2025. .
The report stated that a leaked registered document, codenamed Project Alaska, is said to be for a product scheduled to begin the Product Validation Test (PVT) development phase in 2025 and has the device ID N109, which is the name associated with the Vision Pro glasses that Apple unveiled in the summer. .
According to the report, it appears that the device will look very similar to its predecessor, but it will have some minor differences, one of the most prominent of which is the abandonment of the internal speakers, and will instead have different speakers that are more flat and not circular.
The back straps may also be a little different, adopting a design said to be reminiscent of the flat straps typically found in laptop bags or backpacks. Due to the simpler design, it is thought this will make the straps easier to mass produce, which could help bring down the price of the headphone.
The report also mentions that the design of the second generation of the headset also looks different from the upper part. The Vision Pro glasses that were revealed are without a upper part and wrap around the head only, while the new design may contain a upper part with small holes like the Oculus glasses models.
The elements that could remain the same, according to the report, are the cameras and sensors, and these include the compass, ambient light sensor, magnetometer, and gyroscope, while the new generation coming in 2025 could also support Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, and time-lapse audio. Very low response.
This is in addition to two revolutionary Micro OLED screens, a depth measuring camera, a quad camera system, and two RGB cameras as in the expected first generation.
