The Cupertino company forced to take measures due to the economic crisis that has hit it in the last year
Apple customers they begin to worry about the future of the company. Apparently the colossus of Cupertino he was also forced to take action on manager salaries due to the crisis involving revenue related to the latest iPhones launched in 2022.
According to some rumors, the multinational should have cut the expected bonuses for some managers, or however much delay them, which they will follow other cost-cutting measures. Other rumors also pointed out that Apple’s cloud manager Michael Abbott could leave his role as early as April.
This would be a truly problematic loss for the company which would certainly also have repercussions on the entire design and production process. To report all the news is the Bloomberg agency which in turn cited other sources according to which Apple would have even given up on new hires, leaving several positions vacant.
What’s happening at Apple, why the multinational had to make cuts
Added to this is a series of resignations that will bring many problems, including some top managers. But why did Apple find itself in a crisis, so much so that it had to limit spending with bonus delays and cost cuts?
Apparently, in addition to the general situation of the world economy, the giant was also affected by an internal crisis due to the flop of the iPhone 14 line, especially the iPhone 14 Plus. Sales have not been anywhere near those estimated at launch.
The sales problem related to the launch of the iPhone 14 Plus
All this could be linked to various contributing causes, including for example the more prudent spending of Westerners due to the high prices. But also the fact that the iPhone plus would be replaceable by the other top of the line such as the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, but more simply also by the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
The price of the iPhone 14 was excessive, with a good 300 euros less the 13 Pro Max can be purchased with few technical shortcomings compared to the 14 Plus, almost imperceptible. Then for 200 euros more, however, you can have the 14 Pro Max, top of the range far superior to the Plus.
In short, Apple’s demanding customers have preferred other investments, but this year more prudent than ever, also taking a broad look at the second-hand market. Now it will be difficult to understand the future of the company, there could also be a downsizing of the news, but on this point there is no certainty and customers are agitated on the forums.
